For too long, Martial Artists throughout the UK have overlooked the great advantages of developing academic qualifications within this great vocation. Martial Arts has one of the highest participation rates of any sporting activity in the country, but the vast majority of its instructors have only got a vocational qualification in teaching Martial Arts. The Great Britain Martial Association has a two year plan to turn this around and ensure that all the instructors within the Association have a Certified Instructors Training Course Diploma.

The course will give instructors the opportunity to further their careers within the industry, giving them the opportunity to develop academic qualifications that will enable them to run full time centres, or simply maintain high standards within part-time clubs. This will provide your students with a safer, more professional service that meets both GBMAA and government guidelines.

The course will cover essentials such as:

  • Age specific needs
  • Technical training
  • Instructing and delivery
  • Health & Safety
  • Risk Assessment
  • CRB Checks
  • First Aid
  • Coaching
  • National and international refereeing
  • Marketing and Finance
  • Business analysis

As well as classroom learning, the GB Martial Arts Association will arrange for you to spend some time in work experience.

The Certified Instructors Training Course would allow you to enter into a Martial Arts career, with academic qualifications and knowledge that will enhance you’re earning potential and help to professionalize the industry.
Providing training to some of the UK’s top Martial Arts professionals, the GB Martial Arts Association seeks to deliver innovative and inspiring training, helping to professionalize a vibrant and growing Martial Arts industry and ensuring a safe, exciting future for instructors and clients alike. page 2
