Master Page (Sifu) has won competitions at every level, at home and abroad, in combat and in forms, showing his martial arts ability is well rounded. His depth of martial arts knowledge and ability to adapt and pass on these traditional skills into the western world of competitive sport kickboxing is making the Predators and Team England, phenomenal forces on the national and international competition circuit.
Sifu’s first love is traditional training. As a style, Lau Gar dates back over two thousand years, to the Shaolin Temple, so the demands on students are substantial. His experiences while training with Stan Brown, Master Jeremy Yau and John Russell have given him a rich understanding and love for what he calls true Lau Gar.

Almost from the start, he has been involved in competition, coming third in the National Championships in the juniors' section as only a white sash.
That was the start of his love for competing. This passion has seen Sifu train with, compete against and win against, at one time or another, all the great names of the day on the freestyle circuit.

He has always believed that there is no challenge that cannot be met and bettered as long as you are prepared to work for it; and even at this stage of his career, when he could stand back and simply call the shots, he is right there; working possibly harder that ever with the students. His attitude, he says, comes from working alongside and competing with and against people like Alfie Lewis, Frankie Lynch, Steve Babbs, Vince Lewis, Kevin (The Jedi) Brewerton, Peter Edwards, Neville Wary, Lloyd Allen and many more legendary fighters. His years of training within the BKFA British team, alongside the likes of David Baptiste, Sean Viera, Nathan “the Megatron” Lewis, Brian Nelson, Sharon Gill and Carline Megysei has given him true resilience.

At this time, Sifu is bringing a deep-seated passionate dream to fruition. The dream that one day Sport Martial Arts will have the same status as that of any recognised media sport and will achieve official Olympic Sport status.  To that end, Sifu has constructed a system by which martial arts instructors can consistently achieve measurable results, no matter where they are, or what style they teach. As a result, the Great Britain Martial Arts Association has become Britain’s fastest growing multi-style organisation and its Academies are now the most successful martial arts schools by far.

This has been an awesome undertaking, but with Olympic recognition just around the corner and the GBMAA helping others reach our high professional standards, Master Page is near to completing his ultimate goal.
